Claude Code skill
you-dont-know-yet
Why it exists
Coding agents collapse “I wrote a plausible patch” into “Fixed”, and then explain why the bug you’re still looking at is expected behaviour. Confidence in a diff isn’t the same as having checked it.
They also truncate. A list capped at five items hides the sixth, which is often the one that mattered.
What it does
The skill does two jobs.
Status vocabulary. Instead of “done”, four words, none of which can be used beyond what the current state of the work actually supports:
- Changed: the file was modified
- Verified: the behaviour was exercised and passed
- Still broken: the behaviour was exercised and failed
- Unknown: nothing was run
Each one names the evidence it requires. “I edited the file” never becomes “the bug is gone”.
Shape of the reply. Lead with the action, number multi-step work, keep the whole list, drop the filler.
